700/14: Now Offering Writing Feedback & Mentorship

I met with a financial advisor last week. I’m still thinking through all the parameters of this new #freelancing life. I’ve had a lot of new business ideas (some good; some just plain ridiculous). One idea is to offer some really chill, really affordable coaching to other writers. So here it is:

I am now offering paid subscriptions to 700/14. Wait… what does that have to do with coaching other writers?

Here’s what you will get with a paid subscription: yes, you will now get access to the small but ever-multiplying back catalog of all 700/14 posts I’ve ever written. But the real deal is:

Paid subscribers will also get individualized feedback on your own writing. Six times per year. 700 words or less (just like my own writing!).

That’s right. Paid subscribers will be invited to send me 700 words or less of anything you are working on, six times per year, and I will give you feedback on your writing. Sometimes we feel sheepish about asking for other people's eyes on our writing. Feel sheepish no more, as these check-ins will be built into the calendar so that you won’t have to ask for them!

And then founding members (who pay just a bit more each year) will also get individual thirty-minute one-on-one mentorship meetings with me twice per year.

That’s right. I will be your writing coach!
